This hotel is designed for businessmen staying for a longer period as well as tourists who have come to explore Ghent and its surroundings.

Project Description

The building, consisting of 6 floors and 49 rooms, underwent an extensive renovation in stages.

The lobby was expanded with a glazed double entrance leading to the reception desk. By removing the partition walls between the lobby and restaurant, it was possible to create space for a function room with bar and lounge. Furthermore, much attention was paid to the lighting and clear signage in all the hotel areas.

All the rooms were completely gutted and fitted with new HVAC installations. As a result, each room has air conditioning, which is controlled by an intelligent system capable of detecting the presence of the guest. New external joinery, consisting of triple-glazed windows, provides acoustic comfort.

In the spacious suites guests have a kitchenette, sitting area, bathroom with full-length bath, and a separate bedroom at their disposal. These elements are decorated in warm tones and make use of natural materials. Solid oak furniture, leather seating and woollen carpeting complement the luxurious feel. Various furniture units and rugs were custom designed to best use the available space.
