GhentConcept
The first phase involved restoring the first eleven exhibition rooms. The second phase involved the restoration of the roof and facade, as well as all the original exhibition rooms. All administrative, technical and artistic areas were refurbished and connected to a library with a reading room, archive and reference desks. There is a lobby area with washrooms, a cloakroom, a museum shop and a brasserie accessible following a museum visit connecting to outdoor areas. An auditorium for meetings, receptions and other events is located in a covered inner courtyard. A children's workshop with its own cloakroom, storage area and washrooms was also expanded.
