Concept
This project involved the renovation and conversion of a hospitality establishment into a goldsmith's. A padouk table swings in space to contrast the interior's sober lines. The table provides space for two sales counters and a reception desk mounted on a rotating column. Padouk, stainless steel and natural stone alternate throughout the shop. A workspace has been fitted out around an atrium with a view over the shop and the street. One wall is completely mirrored to enlarge the space optically. There is a magnificent view of the restored opera through the bow windows. As part of the design, particular attention was paid to security with the inclusion of camera surveillance and intruder detection systems.
